well Judy, the answer is he would volunteer his carpentry skills as he was a carpenter by trade.

He would most obviously befriend the downtrodden, the lowly people, as He calls them blessed in Sacred Scripture! He would feed them, heal them, teach them, love them. And He of course would ask everyone to help Him carry out His Father's work, as He still asks of us today. If we can see Christ in the lonely, the lost, the forgotten and the hungry, then blessed are we!
