A Journalist friend in Brazil wants to work in Chicago, IL USA. What are the VISA Requirements?
It is possible I can hire them through my company. However, are there any requirements for savings/cash they must have when they come to the USA to prove they are not a burden to our country? Please advise, thanks. Immigration - 2 Answers

Go to uscis.gov all of the requirements are there.

To get him a work Visa, you fist have to advertise the job for like a month to make sure no Americans wants the job (this is true, not a lie)...the Department of Homeland Security will check to make sure you did this...then you have to pay right around $1500 for the Visa, I think that everything is included in that price, but I am not sure...after all this it takes a few months for the DHS to approve it...then the work permit has to be renewed every year...and that is $189...can get kind of pricie...my wife's friend is here from Colombia on a Work Visa, and this is what they had to do...good luck...
