find the film office for illinois' i am looking for movie extra work around chicago?

No problem man, check it out here: http://egov.cityofchicago.org/city/webportal/portalEntityHomeAction.do?entityName=Film+Office&entityNameEnumValue=15 From experience, I find the best way to get extra work is to scan the newspapers in addition to checking that site. They ALWAYS post in the tribune, plus the film office doesn't always have postings on independent films, especially if they are filming outside of Cook county or in the burbs. So my advice is to keep an eye on both. Production Assistant work is going to be a little tougher to get. If crews are filming in this area, but are funded by a major studio out in Cali, more likely than not they will also be sending their crew out here, including techs and P.A.s and all that fun stuff. If you want to get into the production assistant field (and of course, more up from there..), you'll be best off heading out west and going to wherever they send you. Good luck dude!
