either any local outfit should be prepared for this situation. two state returns will be required. [does Chicago have city income tax? I don't know, I'm in Florida.]

Doesn't matter. Your returns will be prepared the same way by tax pros in either state. Living that close to the state line they all are well aware of what to do.

Im being relocated for work. Should i move to New York City or Chicago?
Im a New York native and would live in my hometown of woodside queens in new york. I have been to chicago for work before but that is it. So my question is Nyc or Chicago? New York City - 5 Answers

Unless you are very adventurous I would say New York. It may also depend on where you will make the most money.

NYC because you have your family and friends there, but if you would like to re-establish yourself and start a new life of friends and see a whole new city then I would say Chicago. Ultimately it's up to you, do whatever you think would make you most happy and what you think you would benefit from. Good luck in whatever path you choose =]

Both great cities but I'd have to go with New York. Woodside is an easy commute into Manhattan and much less expensive although getting more expensive as it gains popularity. New York still offers opportunity for those willing to work hard and be persistent. Winters in Chicago are much more severe. New York traffic is unrelenting but mass transit is without peer in the U.S. NYC is still the capital of the world and no other U.S. city compares.

i would say ny....i live in middle village so i know where your coming from lol but i have a cousin who lives in chicago and he said its not great over there....theres alot of gangs and its pretty bad...

Definitely New York! Moved to Shitcago and I regret it. Its segragted, the food is horrible, and there is a lot of crime. Not to forget the 10% sales tax and the crooked politicians (Daley being a mayor since 1989). The city of Chicago sucks as a whole! BTW I moving back to my great New York City in May ...YAY!!

The cheapest pool is usually @ $30,000 to install. Maintenance would probably be $100.00 a month.

They ALWAYS post in the tribune, plus the film office doesn't always have postings on independent films, especially if they are filming outside of Cook county or in the burbs. So my advice is to keep an eye on both. Production Assistant work is going to be a little tougher to get. If crews are filming in this area, but are funded by a major studio out in Cali, more likely than not they will also be sending their crew out here, including techs and P.A.s and all that fun stuff. If you want to get into the production assistant field (and of course, more up from there..), you'll be best off heading out west and going to wherever they send you. Good luck dude!

About cheap phone companies that work in Chicago

Cheap phone companies that work in Chicago?
So right now I have kajeet. And like that's a horrible phone service but it's cheap and my parents like it. What are some cheap individual plans with unlimited texting (like 20$ or under) or what are cheap family plans with unlimited texting? The number of voice minutes doesnt matter it just has to have unlimited texting. Please tell me the name of the carrier and the plan. Thankss!!
