You can try "Acting Studio Chicago" 10 W. Hubbard. Suite 2E 312-527-4566 Ask for Jane Alderman or Mickie Paskal. Good luck. Take care.
2 :
The Performink website is a good place to start (http://www.performink.com/Framesets/2frmBody.html). They list classifieds that include audition notices. You can also check The Reader's classified section, both the print and online versions (http://classifieds.chicagoreader.com/chicago/Results?section=oid%3A10). And finally the League of Chicago Theaters posts audition information too (http://www.chicagoplays.com/industry/auditions.aspx)

About obama distressed about the article written about his Chicago work

Obama distressed about the article written about his Chicago work.?
I found an article written by a reporter that live in Chicago when Obama was a community organizer. As a matter of fact, this man knew Obama, but did interview a lot of folks. Does this give you a different perception of Obama? http://www.houstonpress.com/2008-02-28/news/barack-obama-screamed-at-me/2

The article was very enlightening. Thanks for sharing. I was never an Obama supporter, but what I read here gives me more reason not to support him.

Slick Barry Obama is never distressed. He just stays smoove. He thinks everything will slide off his back, but it's starting to stick...
3 :
Often is being told that young people likes Obama , maybe the same young people that voted for Sanjaya ( from american idol)...... Be careful! media wants you to vote for Obama ....that's rude.... it makes me even more anti-Obama.

About what do I wear to work in Chicago

What do I wear to work in Chicago?
I'm looking to move to Chicago in the not-too-distant future and I plan on walking to the nearest bus or train, even in the winter. I'm a fan of pencil skirts, strappy heels, etc., but I don't see how those will work in the Windy City. So am I stuck in thick pants suits for eight months out of the year, or is there a better option?

The choice of clothing you mentioned won't be too bad during the spring and summer months. When late fall and winter come into play, you're going to want to wear something different. For your information, Chicago is called the windy city because of politicians, not because of any particular weather patterns. Undoubtedly, there are days when the city lives up to its name. I recommend that you get used to our weather here so that you may choose the clothing you are most comfortable with.
2 :
You can wear skirts if you have a long wool coat and switch out the heels for boots at the end of the day.
3 :
When women get off the commuter trains in downtown Chicago during winter, they wear long, warm coats, scarves, sometimes hats, always warm shoes and carry their heels. Some wear skirts, some wear pants. All walk fast.

A Journalist friend in Brazil wants to work in Chicago, IL USA. What are the VISA Requirements?
It is possible I can hire them through my company. However, are there any requirements for savings/cash they must have when they come to the USA to prove they are not a burden to our country? Please advise, thanks.

Go to uscis.gov all of the requirements are there.

To get him a work Visa, you fist have to advertise the job for like a month to make sure no Americans wants the job (this is true, not a lie)...the Department of Homeland Security will check to make sure you did this...then you have to pay right around $1500 for the Visa, I think that everything is included in that price, but I am not sure...after all this it takes a few months for the DHS to approve it...then the work permit has to be renewed every year...and that is $189...can get kind of pricie...my wife's friend is here from Colombia on a Work Visa, and this is what they had to do...good luck...

Trust me, you do not want to work at all if you go to law school full-time. I don't even know how anyone works while going part-time. It's unsolicited, but my first bit of advice is not to work at all at least for the first year of law school. To answer your question, people who go to law school part time generally finish in four years. I have a friend who's being allowed to finish in five years, but she is the only person I know of who is doing this. I had a friend in law school who worked full-time while going to school part time. He told me he was second to the bottom of the class rank-wise. Here's some more unsolicited advice: if you want to go to law school in Chicago, strive for something better than John Marshall. No offense to JM students and grads - from what I've heard and seen, it's a perfectly fine law school. But in Chicago, it is generally regarded as the worst of the six Chicago law schools. Further, it is a private school with tuition at least as high as that of the other five schools. So why someone would choose JM over any of the others is hard to fathom. If you have a low GPA or LSAT score, by all means, go to JM - you will get a solid legal education, and will meet a LOT of JM grads in Chicago who can help you get a job. But if you have a choice, go elsewhere.

my husband worked full time while in law school. (And passed the bar the first time he took it,) It took four years in California. He took time off for bar prep class (totally necessary). The Bar is where it's at. You can get a great job as a lawyer if you are a c,b student in law school but pass the bar. Too many people try to work and study for the bar. It doesn't work. The test is damn hard. Hillary Clinton didn't pass the first time. JFK jr. didn't pass the first time... A lot of people don't pass the first time. Work if you must during law school. But do not work during bar prep. good luck
